God Ordained Fitness

Why “God Ordained Fitness? Anyone feel like they need a refresh in life? In your workouts? In your routine? Feel pulled a million different directions and too exhausted to even think of working out? Too busy with the kids schedules and there simply just isn’t enough time in the day. Or maybe you’re so tired of getting in shape for the big event or reunion, only to fall off the workout wagon once it’s over?

Friends, it has to be bigger than us. Fitness has to be bigger than us. Life has to be bigger than us. And that’s where God Ordained Fitness comes in.

Let me share one of my favorite verses with you that has been the driving force behind God Ordained Fitness:

"Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT).

Wow. How incredibly exciting and mind blowing it is that we have the power of the living God residing in us! But along with that comes some responsibility. So How do we honor God with our body? In a few words: You have to take care of it; you get in shape. Because the better shape you are in, the more energy you’ll have and God can use you more effectively.

When I take that mindset into my workout, I am refreshed with a newfound energy for the exercises ahead and for my goals ahead. It becomes so much bigger than being just about me. Now I have a God sized mission to pour myself, my thoughts and all my efforts into.

That’s what I want our God Ordained Community to be about. Shifting the focus off of ourselves, focusing on Christ and how we can honor Him, and be used in a way to impact The Kingdom. That means inviting God into your workouts, leaning on Him when you’re struggling to make it through a final set. Philippians 4:13 tells us “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” I want you to experience your workouts in a way that is far greater than yourself. I want you to experience God Ordained fitness.

Note regarding Apple Health:

The app integrates with Apple Health to show your daily activity - distance, steps, active energy, and flights to help you better achieve your goals.

App also uses Apple Health to track energy burned and heart rate during a workout session, if an Apple Watch is used.

Workout metrics are shared with the coach to better design your workout schedule.
